About Us

Our members have ponds of many forms. Some, like my own, are small and low-tech. Others are large and have all the modern conveniences of the koi world but there is one thing that binds us all together - keeping happy, healthy koi. This approach makes the SKC an extremely friendly group where having fun is a top priority. We are broadly based in the Central Belt area but the members attend regularly from as far away as Abeerden, Montrose, and the borders. The koi Show is our major event. Members' koi are photographed and exibitated,and judged.
Do you need help or assistance with your pond or fish? Planning a pond and don't know where to start? Got sick fish? The members are always happy to offer advice and guidance so come along to a meeting. Don't be concerned that you'll be ridiculed for asking a foolish question! The only foolish question is the one not asked that would have saved you time, worry or money.
